Installation Notes

Strip 8 AWG wire to the correct length — the conductor should fill the barrel without protruding. Use a heavy-duty ratcheting crimper rated for 8 AWG — standard light-duty crimpers will not produce a reliable crimp at this gauge. Apply heat evenly with a heat gun until the sleeve shrinks uniformly and adhesive flows from both ends. Allow to cool fully before torquing the stud nut. Torque to the terminal block manufacturer’s specification to ensure a gas-tight mechanical connection.
