Description
Interlux Micron CSC-CA Black is a premium multi-season ablative antifouling paint designed for Canadian bottom-paint requirements. Its controlled solubility copolymer formula wears away gradually as the boat moves, helping reduce seasonal paint buildup while protecting below-the-waterline surfaces from barnacles, zebra mussels, weeds, and algae.

Application Compatibility
Suitable for below-the-waterline use on fiberglass / GRP, wood, lead, and steel hulls. Do not apply to aluminum hulls, outdrives, or trim tabs because copper-based antifouling paint can cause galvanic corrosion.
Fitment Notice
Confirm compatibility with the existing bottom paint before application. Surfaces should be properly cleaned, sanded, and prepared according to Interlux instructions. Use the correct Interlux thinner or cleaner where required for surface preparation, thinning, or cleanup.
When This Product Needs Replacement
Recoat when antifouling protection is worn, thin, patchy, or no longer preventing marine growth effectively. Boats kept in high-growth waters or used heavily may require more frequent inspection and touch-up.
Application Notes
Apply a minimum of 2 coats, with a third coat recommended on high-wear areas such as the waterline, leading edges, rudder, keel, and running gear-adjacent areas. Micron CSC-CA can be hauled and relaunched without losing effectiveness, making it suitable for seasonal storage and trailered boats.

Parts Desk Insight
This is a strong choice for boaters who want multi-season protection without heavy paint buildup. The key caution is aluminum: copper-based antifouling paint should stay off aluminum hulls, drives, tabs, and other aluminum underwater hardware.
