When This Part Needs Replacement

Replace the propeller nut kit if the nut insert is worn, the locking washer tabs are bent or weakened, the hardware is corroded, or anytime the propeller hardware no longer locks securely after service.

Installation Notes

Install the propeller hardware in the correct order shown in the Mercury parts diagram. Torque the propeller nut to specification, then bend the locking washer tabs into position as required. Inspect the prop shaft, thrust washer, hub kit, and propeller splines during service.
