Description
The Yamaha 6AW-1132P-00-00 is a genuine OEM internal engine anode (often referred to as “Anode 5”) designed to protect cylinder head and crankcase cooling passages from corrosion. Installed inside the engine, it sacrifices itself to prevent galvanic damage to critical internal components.
While commonly available in zinc, magnesium variants are used in freshwater environments, offering more aggressive protection where conductivity is lower.
