Description
The Yamaha 68V-11325-02-00 is a genuine OEM zinc crankcase anode designed to protect internal engine components from galvanic corrosion. Installed inside the cylinder head and crankcase cooling passages, it sacrifices itself to prevent corrosion damage to aluminum engine components.
Zinc construction makes it ideal for saltwater applications, where corrosion activity is highest and consistent protection is required.

Parts Desk Insight
This anode protects the inside of the engine where corrosion is invisible. When these fail, damage starts in cooling passages and cylinder heads—often leading to costly repairs. Regular inspection and replacement is critical, especially for saltwater-operated Yamaha outboards.
