Description
Hansen Stainless Steel Clevis Pin — 1/4″ x 1-1/4″
Connect rigging, control cables, and steering linkages with precision using this marine-grade stainless steel clevis pin. At 1/4″ diameter and 1-1/4″ length, the HAN-370271 is a versatile, corrosion-resistant pin suited to a wide range of marine hardware connections — from throttle and shift cable ends to standing rigging toggles, turnbuckles, and deck hardware pivot points.
Key Features
- 316 Stainless Steel Construction — Corrosion-resistant alloy withstands continuous exposure to salt water, UV, and the mechanical stress of control and rigging applications
- Precision Dimensions — 1/4″ (6.35mm) diameter x 1-1/4″ (31.75mm) length; verify clevis jaw width and pin hole diameter before ordering
- Smooth Shank — Precision-ground shank ensures a clean, low-friction fit through clevis jaws, toggles, and cable end fittings
- Cotter Pin / Ring Compatible — Standard clevis pin geometry accepts cotter pins, ring pins, or hairpin clips for positive retention in the installed position
- Hansen Quality — Hansen is a trusted supplier of marine-grade stainless hardware components used in rigging and control system applications

Installation Notes
Verify the clevis jaw inside width and pin hole diameter match the 1/4″ pin before installation. Insert the pin fully through the clevis jaws and fitting, then secure with a cotter pin, ring pin, or hairpin clip through the cotter hole at the pin tip. Spread cotter pin legs fully to prevent backing out. Inspect pins annually for wear, bending, or corrosion and replace if any deformation is found. Never reuse a bent or deformed clevis pin.
Keep a selection of stainless clevis pins aboard — the HAN-370271 is one of the most common sizes in marine control and rigging systems, and having a spare on hand prevents unnecessary downtime.
